Carnot Theorem

Carnot theorem states that "no heat engine operating in a cyclic process between two fixed temperatures can be more efficient than a reversible engine which is operating between the same temperature limits"

CARNOT THEOREM

Carnot theorem states that "no heat engine operating in a cyclic process between two fixed temperatures can be more efficient than a reversible engine which is operating between the same temperature limits"

Corollaries of Carnot theorem:

Corollary I

All reversible engines operating between the same temperature limits have the same efficiency.

Corollary II

The efficiency of all reversible engines depends only on the temperature limits of the reservoirs which is independent of the nature of working fluid.
