Tubectomy,Vasectomy

Around an year ago, I heard my mom suggesting my cousin to ask her husband to undergo sterilization instead of her as it's easier for men but at the end my cousin underwent the surgery. Today, in our ece class, doctor told us about stigma related to these procedures and I realized that I have already seen all this.

Let's see these procedures,

Tubectomy procedure involves going inside the abdomen

A few small incisions are made around the belly button. A laparoscope with camera is inserted through one of the cuts. It enables surgeon to see internal structures. The surgeon then cuts/seals the tubes.

Similarly vasectomy is a procedure for sterilisation of males. It's easier than tubectomy as the structures are outside the abdominal cavity. It's a 15 min, non invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia.

What shocked me today?

Only 6.3% males underwent sterilization while 93.1% sterilization procedures were performed on women.

Isn't it shocking that even after talking so much about women empowerment the responsibility of family planning lies on the women because apparently men think that it makes them feel less of a man if they undergo such procedures.

Why has nobody ever tried to use the force of gravity to produce electricity?

You can’t be serious! How do you think hydropower stations, tidal generators and pump batteries work? In fact, Musk is the only kook who believes polluting & toxic batteries are the solution to power-storage, other smarter and environmentally conscience engineers prefer gravity-based systems.

Then there are these also…

Even some modern elevators in tall buildings can generate power on the way down.

Lift Energy Storage System: Turning skyscrapers into gravity batteries…

This is a 19th-century aerial ropeway that’s run entirely by gravity, it uses no power and moves 300 tonnes a day…

King Edward VII - Amazing facts that you have to read.

King Edward VII, who had a special chair made for... Well, for your free time. When Edward VII was still a young prince devoid of any responsibility for the crown, he travelled far from the British capital in search of leisure and pleasure.

On one of his visits to Paris, he approached Le Chabanais, one of the best-known brothels in Paris. It was located relatively close to the Louvre Museum.Edward VII was assigned his own room whenever he frequented the brothel.

The prince's main problem was his overweight. To overcome the physical impediment, the cabinetmaker Louis Soubrier made what he called "the chair of love".

The chair was made in such a way that the future king could act without getting too tired. Also, the shape of the chair suggests that it was made so that the man could lie with two women at once.

Infibulation - Surprised you today?

It is surprised to know about infibulation. You may be wondering what is infibulation ? No need to worry. see below:

It is the practice of removing the clitoris and labia of a girl or woman and sewing the edge of the vulva to prevent intercourse. This is complete shaving of the vagina and stitches to prevent the girl from having sex.

The vagina is sealed, leaving a small hole through which the girl can menstruate or urinate.

The girl's leg was bound with a rope for days to allow the wound to heal. The wound usually takes between 15 and 40 days to heal. During this time, the girl's legs are tied and she cannot move.

Basically, the stitches are made so that the husband can open them again on the wedding night so that he can have an intimate relationship with her. Imagine someone opening a stitch and immediately having sex with her.

Imagine the pain, I mean intense pain!!!

Imagine the traumatic experience, the pain that the girl will go through.

Isn't it better to let him decide whether to marry a virgin than to do that?

During birth, many women require repeated incisions because the vagina is too small for the baby to pass through.

It also causes urinary tract infections, fistulas and infertility in women.

The worst part is that women in Africa do this. I think this is where feminism should start.

It should be fought for African feminists and not about who should wash the dishes or cook or other irrelevant issues.

For your information, it is still practiced in some parts of Africa.

According to research, it was also practiced in North America, Australia and New Zealand.

It's heartbreaking

Girls do not deserve this abuse for being girls.

And the most curious thing is that no ideological movement has even tried to raise this issue or even talk about it.

Why are monkeys’ rear ends swollen?

Forget flowers and chocolates.

It's called sexual swelling.

When some female primates want a male's attention, they broadcast their fertility with a swollen, bright red backside.

This is with baboons, chimps, some Old World monkeys.

It's nature's "available" sign, not subtle, but brutally effective.

This swelling isn't about injury.

It's hormones.

A surge of estrogen kicks off the whole process.

Blood rushes in, tissue gets engorged, the whole area puffs up dramatically. The bigger and brighter, the more attractive she is to the males.

This isn't just about looks, though.

That swelling means she's in her fertile window, primed and ready to mate. It's a screaming signal of her peak ovulation.

The stakes are high.

Males get territorial, competition gets fierce, and the female gets the pick of the best.

This system isn't foolproof, but it streamlines the whole mating game.

The guys know when to fight, and when to quit wasting energy chasing females who aren't receptive.

As her cycle changes, the swelling goes down, the signal disappears.

Imagine a flashing neon sign turning off – that's how effective it is at communicating.

Klein bottle - Interesting mathematics facts?

We all love the Klein bottle, though not many of us know what they represent or how to describe them mathematically.

Felix Klein was a German mathematician known mainly for his work in group theory ( study of algebraic structure known as groups), complex analysis ( investigates functions of complex numbers), and non-Euclidean geometry (otherwise known a hyperbolic geometry). He is best know for his conception of the Klein bottle.

A Klein bottle is an object with no inside and no outside. A continuous shape where one can travel from the starting point along the surface of the object, never crossing an edge, and make it back to the original location. It is a 1 sided object with no edges.

This is a representation of how a Klein bottle is formed.

The Klein bottle is a one sided ( you heard correctly) closed surface which cannot be embedded in 3D Euclidean space (other wise known as Cartesian space, refers to something where you have points, lines, and can measure angles and distance + Euclidean axioms are satisfied) but may be immersed ( immersion is a special type of map ... a non singular map from one manifold to another such that every point in the domain of the map, the derivative is injective linear transformation) as a cylinder looped back through itself to join with its other end from the inside.

Mathematically this is how one could represent a Klein bottle.

=()((/2)(2+())+((/2)()()))

=()((/2)(2+())+((/2)()()))

=1(/2)(2+())+(/2)()()

Polynomial description of Klein bottle :

(2+2+2+21)[(2+2+2+21)282]+16(2+2+221)=0

Pretty picture of Klein bottle. Period.

Edit:

For people who are asking for practical usage of Klein Bottle, I found some good lines from Google.

No one asks a poet what a new poem “does.” The poem’s simplicity, elegance, and beauty are sufficient reasons for its existence. Aren’t the same things true for a mathematical proof?

And if you're still not convinced.
